BREAKIN CONVENTION - court yard art....

breakin convention "court yard art" was an idea i had on the first meeting with the guys at sadlers wells theatre and breakin convention organization. as i was walking to the venue i noticed a small car park to the rear of the theatre, straight away i was thinking that somthing should happen there. so i mentioned to the guys and they thought it was a great idea. so the first event i worked on with them i arranged for artists to paint LIVE, it was great, we had a leat 300 people come by and have a look. its a kool little spot and many of the people attending the convention have to walk past it to enter the theatre, also there are many passing public who also are intrested in what is going on. the convention is a 3 day event and i try to have a leat 3 artist each day paint. can i say THANK YOU to all the artists that have been apart of the breakin convention over the past 4 years, here are some of the artists i have invited to breakin convention and some of the art works.(sorry if your works is not here) blade,nash,tumki,bonzai,antistaik,belin,kak,bird272,hush,tank petrol,kisk,brave1,keen1,probs,zadox,funa grafik,rocket,via graffik,demo, i am sure there are more but the names escape me   (shame on me)

BREAKIN CONVENTION @ sadlers wells london

BREAKIN CONVENTION..... is a International festival of hip hop dance theatre.  ive been lucky enough to have been working with the guys at BC for the past 4 years and am looking forward to year 5 soon. i have the pleasure of inviteing artists to paint the inside of sadlers wells theatre for the opening of the event,also to invite artists to paint LIVE in the court yard during the 3 day festival.  here you will find works from artsist i have invited to be a part of BC, i hope you will njoy the different styles of wrks from the artists. we always try to do somthing different each year and i am already thinking about who to invite to this years event. i would like to say a big THANK YOU to the SADLERS WELLS THEATRE for allowing artists to paint the INSIDE of their theatre each year, and to ALL the staff that help make things run smooth time and time again.  BIG UP !   special THANKS to JONZI D for trusting me to bring the right artists for his event. for all the infomation/photos on past and presant events go to http://www.breakinconvention.com/     i will post another blog with all the artists works that have been made in the "court yard" art sessions in the past 4 years.   thanks for looking, all comments welcome
